Thesis Binding Info

Posted by Amanda on January 19th, 2007

You will need three copies of your thesis. One copy must be submitted unbound and on acid-free paper. Place the unbound thesis inside a manila file-folder and then clip it in with two large binder clips. On the outside of the file-folder write the following information:

  • Your Name
  • Date of birth (with year)
  • MFA, School of the Arts, Writing Division, 2007.
The other two copies are your readers’ copies, and should be bound by coil, tape, velo or comb. (These bindings can be done at any local copy center.) All three copies must be paginated beginning with the second page of text. The acid-free copy will remain on permanent file in Butler Library. The other copies can be picked up from your faculty readers after your thesis conference. Be sure to keep an extra copy of the thesis for yourself.
